Bare wires refer to products with only conductors but no insulation layer, including copper, aluminum and other metals and composite metal round single wires, and stranded wires, flexible wires, shaped wires and profiles for overhead transmission lines of various structures.
Bare wire is the most basic category of wire and cable products, and some products can be used as the guide wire of wire and cable; Another part of products are used as components in motors, electrical appliances, transformers and other equipment. In addition, bare wires can be directly used to transmit electric energy and information in power, communication, transportation and other departments. It shall have good electrical conductivity and physical and mechanical properties. Only conductors, without insulation and sheath structure.
It can be divided into bare copper wire, bare aluminum wire, bare aluminum alloy wire, bimetal wire, etc. According to the shape and structure, it can be divided into round single wire, bare stranded wire, flexible wire, and shaped wire.
A model consists of three parts: category, feature and derivation.
Precautions for storage
(1) Bare wires shall be stored in a dry and ventilated warehouse for fear of moisture and chemical corrosion. It is forbidden to store them in the same warehouse with acid and alkali substances and corrosive solids and gases. The relative humidity in the warehouse shall not be greater than 70%.
(2) Unpacked copper wire and aluminum wire shall not be overlapped to avoid electrochemical action and corrosion of aluminum wire.
(3) Bare wires shall be protected from mechanical damage during storage and transportation, and various types of wires shall be protected from twisting and folding.
(4) Bare wires packed in coils shall be placed vertically. When stacking bare wires in coils, the wood shall be underlaid with a height of 1.5~2m. The stacking shape must be neat to avoid collapse. The width should preferably be 2 rolls for easy inspection.
(5) Bare wires must be inspected regularly to prevent corrosion and deterioration during storage.
